The Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada
This is a photograph that I took outside of the Tropicana Hotel in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. The Tropicana was constructed in 1957 and has 1,877 rooms. It is one of the older hotels on "The Strip." The hotel currently has massive expansion plans that include the addition of over 9,000 rooms over the next six years, which would make it the largest hotel in the world.
Las Vegas Strip 1989 - What a change!
Wow has Vegas changed! I recently found this photo of the Las Vegas Strip I took in May of 1989. Almost nothing on the strip, not even the Stratosphere. Shot, looking north, from our room at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino using my old 35mm Minolta Maxxum.
